Today: using for loops with sounds.
Using for loops and JES sound functions to increase/decrease volume of sound.
How do we make "no sound" - set sample to all same value, since hearing works by the differences between samples. So set samples to all 0, or 1000, or any fixed value, and that is "no sound".
How to make loud sound? Use the note function with low frequency to make low sounds, with high frequency to make high sounds.
What happens if we keep making the sound twice as loud, twice as loud, etc., or if we just multiply all the samples by 100,000?
How would we make "noise"? Maybe take a bunch of different frequencies and "add them together" - we'll get to stuff like that in a few more days.
What would happen if we took the samples at odd intervals (so every other sample in the sound) and set to 0 or some other value?
Next time - "normalizing" sound and clipping.
And make sure to take the quiz, and type things into JES to try them out!
