Homeworks 8 and 9.
Final Project.
Exam next Friday.
Today: echoes, and an example with nested for loops (woo hoo).
Echo. Idea is to take the original sound and add it to itself but shifted over in time. For the new sound we create, the first little bit is just the original sound. After that point, the sample values for the new sound come by adding the "current sample value" to a sample value that was slightly earlier in the sound (the echo). The slightly earlier value is scaled down in volume to make the echo slightly quieter.
Multiple echoes. The second function makes more than one echo by using nested for loops. The outermost for loop ranges over the number of the echo we are "adding on", and the innermost for loop adds on that echo.
Next time: project proposals due!
And make sure to take the quiz, and type things into JES to try them out!
