HW1 is worth 10 points total. If it is not turned in on time, you get 0 points. We will still let you know how you did, but you get 0 points. For each of the following parts, you get either full, 1/2, or 0 credit. Full credit for exactly correct, or very nearly. 3 points for creating a handin directory in your account. * full credit: correct, or if placed handin in cs458 - mistake on one of the web pages. * 1/2 credit: wrong spelling, capitalization, etc. 3 points for copying the file from the in class code to your handin directory. * 1/2 credit: file is in home directory, not handin. or filename is wrong, for example "Homework1.txt", etc. 2 points for binary question. * 1/2 credit: at least one is correct, at least one is wrong. 2 points for "your computer" question. * 1/2 credit: at least one piece of information sounds right, the others don't make sense or are blank. Notes: * "Lenovo," "Dell," and "Mac," are the brands of computer you have, your CPU is likely made by Intel, or AMD. * Core 2 Duo probably has 2 cores. Also, i5 is not how many cores. In Windows 7, right-click on My Computer, click properties, and somewhere in there it tells you the number of cores. * Even if you got 10/10, there may have been some little tiny mistakes. We rounded to the nearest 1/2 as described above. ALWAYS PUT YOUR NAME IN THE FILE YOU'RE HANDING IN.
