5 points if have something, but not even a triangle or square.

10 points if printing both 5x5 triangle and square in some way, any way at ll.

13 points if correctly printing 5x5 triangle or square with calls to a line
   function that has been modified to print spaces before printing stars.

16 points if triangle or square part completely correct even if didn't do 
   the other part at all.

18 points if triangle or square part completely correct and other part 
   mostly-sort-of correct.
