Class,

I've decided that from now on, instead of sending news via email, it will be
easier to post news pertaining to the class here on the website. That way, the
risk of anything I say getting lost in email is reduced.

As I've said in the email, I will be conducting an Open Office Hour geared
specifically for this class. I plan on doing this at least once a week. The
first such meeting will be on August 19 from  7 to 8PM EDT via Zoom, the link
for that is on the front page of the website in the annoucements section. I'll
demonstrate logging in, and also the handin system. I will record this meeting,
so if you are unable to attend, you can view it later.

Some information about Assignment h0 can be found in the Homework link on the
left sidebar. General information about homework will be posted there
in the future

I'll repost my email messages that I sent to you in the archive section
that is linked on the main page.

Also, feel free to have a look at "Introduction to UNIX/Linux" under Lessons.
There's some valuable information for you there.

As of now, the webpage and the syllabus is still under construction, awaiting
word from Dr. Sternfeld on some final details, but we're nearly finished with
setting things up.
