September 20, 2021 * I will be extending the due date for Assignment h4. It will now be due on September 28 at 11:59 PM. You can still turn it in before then, and if you want me to look at it and give you feedback, I will take a look at it and give you feedback on it, and you can make changes based on the feedback, I just won't finalize grades on it until after the 28th. * In this weeks online office hour (from 8-9PM on Thurs), I will offer hints on assignment h4. * Online Students: Your Quiz 2 on Blackboard is due tonight at 11:59PM. Please take it before then. If you need to take it late, you will be allowed to do so, but Blackboard will tell me that it was a late submission. If you don't think you can finish this quiz by tonight, please let me know * In Person Students: The re-quiz will be done during the last 15 minutes of class tomorrow, September 21. If you get a higher grade on this quiz, that will be your new grade. If you get a lower grade, it won't affect your grade. Contrary to earlier messages on Blackboard, If you missed last Tuesday's quiz, you will take the re-quiz. The quiz on Blackboard will not likely count, in your case. * h5 will hopefully be ready on Tuesday, but that assignment's rollout may be delayed. This assignment will mainly be review of things we've done so far in this class, this will be good practice for the upcoming midterm. Keep checking this website often for when h5 will be available. * The midterm exam for this class will likely be happening around 2 weeks from now, it will be over everything we've done in this class so far. In a week or so, we will have a "fake midterm" that has similar problems to the real midterm. If you can do the problems from the "fake midterm", you should be in good shape for the real midterm. * You will be getting interim grades sometime next week. Your grade will be based on the homework/quizzes already graded (or soon to be graded) and attendance(in person)/the weekly-checkins(online). * I've also recorded a video going over h3, that is available on the Zoom Cloud recordings. I've also uploaded the solution to in-class code. John
