Start of Term Announcements
CS courses are mostly available online Most CS courses have at least one section of the course that is offered online either asynchronously (all videos, no regular meeting time) or synchronously (regular meeting times, on Zoom). For most CS courses it should be fairly easy and seamless to participate remotely when needed.
Office hours Most faculty will have some office hours available face to face, and also happy to meet online.
Department office See ISU CS People for the normal department office hours, and location.
CS placement test For those starting CS 151 as your first CS course in the CS major, you now need to take the CS placement test to verify that you will be ready for the course. Transfer students also should take the CS placement before they start their first semester at ISU. See Computer Science Placement for more details.
Graduating students For those who think they will graduate in the current term, check your MySAM to confirm that it is showing everything is complete with the courses you take this term. If something is still in red, check with your advisor. If you are planning to graduate in the following term, you should check to make sure that everything that is in red are courses that are available the following term and that you plan to take. Also, make sure to apply for graduation now in your student portal.

Advising You need to proactively check that your MySAM looks like it should, choose your courses based on requirements there, and check with your advisor if you have questions or doubts. Your CS advisor will NOT be proactively checking all students' schedules (there is currently 1 CS advisor for 130 students).
